My stay in Ireland was short and quite busy, but one thing was made clear to me after I left : It’s hard not to fall in love with this country.
And we start with our base. Galway, an artistic town full of music and the most polite people in the world.
Only a few kilometers away, Oranmore, a beautiful and quiet place for those who love the rural areas and the sea. Take your binoculars with you, because what you might not realize even when you reach the place, is that a couple of grey seals are taking a nap on the small islands around!
You’ll need to catch a bus or hire a car to reach this magic scenery of the Cliffs of Moher. Checking on the weather will be helpful if you don’t want to get blown away, as the wind picks up on the Cliffs. Not that you can depend on weather forecasts in Ireland; be equipped and prepared for everything!
Head North and you’ll hit one of the most gorgeous places in Ireland: Connemara. A fantastic combination of mountains and sea, you don’t want to miss it!
And for a change, we turn South, in Killarney. From the Irish Cill Airne, meaning church of sloes. The Natural Park lies right next to the city and can be reached on foot.
And offers beautiful views over the Muckross Lake and the mountains that surrounds it, a perfect way to finish our short journey!
