Yellow Lake

Lummen, Belgium. © Siel Wellens, 2014

Discovered this beautiful lake covered with ‘fringed water-lily’ (Nymphoides peltata) while biking near my home town in Belgium.

    • In Belgium nothing in nature is dangerous 😉 But in Belgium most lakes or privately owned or protected, so there’s very few places you’re allowed to swim in nature. This one’s in a protected area named ‘Schulensbroek’.

      • That’s good to know if i ever happen to visit Belgium 🙂 I guess same goes for Austria as well…I’ll be moving there this September and was wondering if you can actually swim in every lake…I guess you can’t…
